About Burntwood FC

Burntwood FC was formed in the Summer of 2006 after many Sundays were spent having a kickabout, between mates at a local schools sports field.

The formation of a team was only a possibility once a suitable figure could be found to 'run' the team. This came in the form of the legend that was Chris Spall, father to one of the team members. After investing in a kit for 16 squad members and finding a suitable playing location we could call 'home', Burntwood was formed. We play our home fixtures at the New Marconi Sports ground in Great Baddow, Chelmsford.

Burntwood FC entered Division 3 of the Chelmsford Invitation league in 2007 and won promotion that season finishing as division Champions.
Following promotion they also finished as Champions of Divsion 2 during the 08/09 season and start the current campaign in Divsion 1 and in the Essex Senior cup.
